I was invited to a Sprint summit conference today and got to speak to John Walsh of Americas Most Wanted which was the guest speaker.I thanked him for the great job he is doing on getting rid of the dirt bags on the street.
He mentioned to me a site I didnt know. It sends Amber Alerts in YOUR area to your cellphone. Here is the siteWireless amber alert

How cool is he..well...he was cursing and telling us some stories of dirt bags he busted. He told us about his adventure into New Orleans were it was lawless and he was asked to come down there cause they had to let prisoners out and they needed him to profile these punks and recapture them...so he gets there and runs into some cops that had no idea what was going on cause for 3 days NO ONE KNEW WHO WAS INCHARGE .....so they asked him what they should do..and as a joke he told them to get on a high and sniper away at the looters which they did

He had his leather and jeans onto!!!!
Some of the stuff he told us brought a tear to my eye. I just cant imagine some of this stuff. You see it in the movies and dont believe it but when you hear about it in real life your like ...NO...that just cant be

So we need to protect each other and watch out for our kids!!!
IT COST NOTHING!!!!!! Imagine if something happen to your child or grandchild you would want people to help. The first 4 hours are the most important part so once the alert goes out everyone with the service in that area get the alert and have there eyes out for this child.

most of the calls r from moms nd dads divorced or separated steeling there own kids... u could get your self in quite a mess not to mention the phone ringing alot because of a domestic report

Ok after 11 days I recieved 2 notifications. 1 with the initial Amber alert and 1 to cancel it.
The this is a great idea

I think I will have one of the Scouts in my Troop do a project on this and spread the word out on this.

JPD, thats right. He told us the story and other ones. A few years ago BK (before kids) it wouldnt have bothered me much but now being a parent and yes Fredy a Scoutmaster (Asst) I'll do anything to protect my daughters and Scouts
