Are they crazy ? They are going to charge $15 for the 1st bag you check in ! Now they will make the carryon situation even worse ! People will all be jamming everything they own into the overheads and taking hours to load and unload. What multi million a year genius thought this idea up ?
I know I will go out of my way ( literally) to avoid using American Airlines. With this kind of thinking it is no wonder they are going busted. Just raise the ticket price and stop the nonesense !

Its a mess now loading planes because of people in the aisles, this is going to now give people incentive to carry-on some things that they might have had checked instead.

Your right , just charge raise the fare instead of adding this fee that will only delay flights even more.

Also, more carry-on bags means longer delays at the security lines.

Really bad idea, and the pundits are saying that the other airlines are going to follow! Going to be a real mess getting through security and loading the planes.
