Anyone else thinking of launching anytime soon?

Im hoping to be in by the 15th of this month. I was going to bottom paint tomorrow but I heard someone talking about a lot of rain tomorrow night. Other than that...It's 2 new batts, oil change, plugs, gas and startron and im ready to go.

Cant wait. I dont know why im so hyped up this year as opposed to in the past but I'm really chompin at the bit to go for a ride. A friend just picked up a boat the other day and just stepping on it and feeling that motion again gave me goose bumps.

we've been in the water all winter. actually had to be talked out of taking her out on a few of the beautiful days after finding out my buddy left for afghnistan and never winterized or land docked his boat.

that urge is going to have to be kicked soon counting she's still floating

I used to love to fish for flounder early, leave the fluke for June.
With the flounder population demise, that's not a good plan any more.

These days, March and April are for prepping for a trouble free season.
This year, bolsters, new 704 for the Yamaha, then paint, wash, load
and launch.

,,I will try for flounder in May though

I've been in all winter, too......even got out a few times for a ride and some clamming.......

I'm ready for flounder--gonna trailer her out east somewhere, maybe get lucky and come home with dinner (I'd settle for a snack, though!)

Im jealous, I prob wont get in till end april.

Hey bluefish you still interested in that glock?

Im real excited for the season too, just hope I can get out as much as I want, buying a house this year, will need 2 newer cars soon and have a new addition to the family. To add more my wife and I just started new jobs both a much higher upgrade in pay than the old ones but still have to do the pay steps all over again. It will all be good in a couple years though. So I might have to take a collection this year when the boat leaves the dock. Or just have to tell my dad to borrow the boat whenever he wants because he always brings it back with a full tank.

Sorry had to vent a little not trying to hijack.
