Are albies ever taken at night? I've been having a lot of fun this Fall with the albies on the daytime party boats out of Sheepshead - can you get them on the nighttime blues boats, too? Thanks in advance -JTZ

Jtzannes...yes albies are taken at night, especially the longfins (aka the penguins) on overnight trips...usually the bluefish boats catch a fish here and there, but since they chum so heavy for the bluefish, the albacore, lay back in the slick. When the boats bluefish at the Farms or Mud Buoy, usually when they lighten up with the slick, you have your best shot at catching some albacore, but it is not a regular occurence.

By the way, unless the Brooklyn is specifically fishing for the false albacore, they are strictly targeting bluefish.
