I'd caution against going too quickly accessorizing your yak.

Something are urgent, some are good to have and others are nice to have but not immediately needed.

Spend some time with other yak fisherman and you'll have a much better idea of what is vital and what isn't, as well as have ideas what is best for you.

Guys..thanks for all the input. Actually these add ons are for a older sit in boat that I used to use for duck hunting. I am in the process of getting a new SOT but I really like the sit in for a variety of reasons. That yak is about 6 years old and it is a great back-up or for when someone comes out who doesn't have a yak. I'd just like to make it more fishing friendly for those occasions when I chose to sit in rather than on top. It is really a bear bones yak since all I used it for was transporting the decoys and gear. And when i did take it fishing it was basically a conveyance for getting me to where I like to wade. It's a tandem 13 footer with a 31 inch beam so it is pretty stable. Actually it is a Perception Aquaterra Keowee 2. With the forward seat down I can stow a lot of stuff. I am mostly interested in add-on items like: paddle clamps(holders), leashes, combo holders for fly rods and spin rods, gear pouches, etc...simple stuff like that, nothing exotic. While I do spend a lot of time wading and on my boat, I really enjoy speding time on the yak.And with th eprice of gas I wil be on the yaks much more this season! Again, thanks for all the advice. AP
