just picked up 3 old poles for 5 bucks at a tag sale.one is a 9ft with a cork handle.had to sand off a crap finnish.and i'm wondering;can i spray the blankwith a fresh coat of black paint?also,what type of gloss finnish,epoxy,polyurethane,acrylic?

Do you just want to cover blank or do a top notch job.
Quickie----- Go to Home Depot etc and buy spray cans of acrylic spray paint. Follow directions on can, many light coats are better than several heavy coats. Let it dry for a week. Coat sprayed area with 2 coats of color sealer/preserver, let dry 2 days. Buy U40 Perma Gloss (1 part epoxy) Follow directions. Use in a well ventilated area.
