HEY GUYS,THIS HAS BEEN A GREAT FISHING SEASON SO FAR AND HOPEFULLY IT CONTINUES. I LIKE YOU ALL TO SHARE WHAT YOUR MOST SUCCESFUL FISHING EXPERIENCE OR THE SEASON WAS. I CAUGHT 7,6,5 POUND FLUKE, 20 POUND BASS AND A 13 POUND BLUE. THE CATCH I AM MOST PROUD OF IS THE 4 POUND PORGY WHICH TOOK A SQUID STRIP AND WON THE FISHING CONTEST IN BREEZY POINT.

ID LIKE YOU ALL TO SHARE YOU BEST CATCH OF THE SEASON....

Though not the biggest of the year, I rigged up a tandem rig and my GF got a double header of fluke, each about 3#. She insisted on filleting them herself, and with some encouragement, did very well. She now insists on filleting!

Beat that! ;)

Double Header!!!

On Tuesday July 16th aboard the Captain Mike @ Ambrose Channel no sooner dropped on the first drift and Bingo a hefty tug!! Retrieved and was dissapointed to see a short on my line. The mate said "look what's under it!!(Forgot I had a Fluke Mine with trailer hook) As the shadow approached from the depths into sunlight,I had the pool winner! My heart beat faster than when I last had sex!!!

I migfht have exagerated a bit. One was ~21", the other about ~23", both fat. Still impressive double header! She was confused while pulling them up, because of the weird feel of the fight. When we got back to the dock, I was filleting my 25"er while she watched. She said she wanted to try and fillet her own. She got into it, and filleted ALL of the rest of the fish. Good job too. She's getting a fillet knife for her birthday! ;)

Cool! Next purchase is a scale. What would you estimate a 25", not real fat, about medium thickness? Thats my biggest of the year, but I got a few like that. Thanks for the heads up. (I guess I don't tell good fish stories yet! ...gotta learn to EXAGERATE, not the opposite!)

i would say that i 25" incher with medium thickeness has to be a 5 pounder unless it is startving. I have had FAT 21" fluke read 4.5# on the scale, so if a 25 incher isnt 6 pounds id be incredibly surprised.
