I am not sure how many years you guys have under your belt that you are capable of purchasing these 38, 42, and 50 foot Henriques, but I am currently 26 and would love to be in that position in the future. I am curious to know what profession you guys are in as I am very jealous and would like to be able to purchase my henriques sometime in the future as well (and this would be in addition to a house....the henriques will not be the house.)

I'm inquiring about this because I am currently looking for a new job and would like to know what field to head into that would lead me to the same financial success you guys have as I need to be able to fund my favorite hobby.

As a background, I have an accounting/finance degree along with my cpa and have worked at one of the big 4 accounting firms for the past 4 years as an auditor.

I don't want to hijack this thread, so if you're going to respond please PM me. Thanks.

Mike

PS. Really nice pics of these henriques.

Almost every one of the guys that own those big boats also own their own business. Not many guys who work for someone else can afford a million dollar boat unless you wind up as the CEO of a major corporation.

have to agree with MM...business owners.
my last boat over 30 feet cost a bundle and was only possible for me with a partner.
Even guys I know making good $$ are in smaller boats. Some are also Doctors and Lawyers...

Some guys I know with big boats worked their way up from smaller boats and also leveraged home equity to get them. But with the housing market the way it is now would not suggest that route.
Someone mentioned hard work in the thread. That is pretty much the bottom line.

Yep, that's about it. I have a second generation family business with my father, and that is our mechanism to purchasing a boat like this. We work hard, and play hard. Just remember, you can only make so much $$ with your own two hands, at some point you have to expand and make money from someone else's two hands. Just the way it goes. Btw, I'm 28, so it can be done.
