does anybody have a 29 combi with carbed big blocks if so what is your gph at cruise and troll or even your range?

I have a 31 Tiara open with Crusaders 454's 350 HP carb I get .8 n/miles per gal. average. I cruse @ 3250 RPM 24 nts 32-33 gals per Hr. At 3000 RPM I burn 27-29 Gal per hr. and still get .8 n/miles per gal. At 7-8 Kts I burn 6-7 Gals per Hr. Hope this will help you Danny El Broko 3

thank god i did not buy it, could tolerate around 20 gph at a good clip but 30, i cant work anymore, how about 29 aquasport with small blocks any ideas?

i have 5.7 270hp crusaders in my 27 phoenix express i cruise at around 3300rpm and burn about 24 gph at 22-23 knts....and about 7 at troll around 6-7 knts

don't go for the aquasport. it's a gas guzzling hull. rides great though. my father had one with 351 fords. cruises at 3200rpms 18kts for its most fuel efficent speed. this boat doesn't have a chance of getting 1mpg. fuel injected or diesels is the way to go. some boats seem affordable with diesels, but they're underpowered and they're very slow.

My uncle has the 29 Blackfin. With the 454's he was burning 36 gph. He converted to 315 Yanmars two years ago and cut the gph almost in half and gained more speed.
