42 yellow fin would be ok. But i don't know about the 300s lets play it safe and throw the quad 350s on there just in case.

There may be a new speed boat for next year heading for the canyons if all goes well. ;)

Nice vid!
Gave me goose bumps all over again..

I wish you'd have lined up closer to the sea buoy though.
Would've liked to have seen our little old 50' doing 34 knots.

Looked like this from the enclosed bridge back at the crowd...

You can see "Volatility" off the stbd wake. Petey walked right on by us in that Carolina built rocket!!!

thanks for posting...

I guess "rules of the road" go out the window when the starter gives the green light.
Laughed my **s off watching that. What it should show was the guy who finished his b'fest at Salivars and left the jetties at 7:00 cruising out alongside the Lazybones.

Years ago I remember drifting for fluke along Shag and Gin and wondering why everybody was gunning it full tilt back to the jetties in the pm. It would then hit me the tourny was on.

Looks like you guys had a hoot runnin' the pace car to get things going. Thanks.

I got the chills all over again.
Nice video. Thats all fine in lake like conditions. I fished the Star Island in 04 and 05. 04 was so much fog it was like playing million dollar bumper boats with a 4' ground swell, your eyes were glued to the radar boats coming out of every direction.
In o5 we were at the jetty form 5:20 waiting for the start. The only boats to pass us were the tripple outboards and 1 Carolina built rocket. It was nice till we rounded the point thats when u seperated the men from the boys blowin 20kts 4'-6' almost on the nose nice and tight all the guys in the go fast boats were getting passed 2 miles off the beach. We (it was our Carolina Classic 35' and a friends that ran 28-30 kts for 2 hours and 30 min all the way to the grounds.
Nothing like a shotgun start.
