carpool at any time of day 3 or more passengers just have to go thru a man-ned booth so they can count how many people and it's only $2.oo

remember it next time you guys go thru the tolls!!

Waiting for a manned booth could cost you a lot of time compared to EZ pass.

My sister in law told me about this last night. Very interesting, but also very contradictory too.

They want people to use mass transit and car pool (to get away from single occupance vehicles), but now you have to wait in line to pay with cash?

My whole reason for having EZ Pass was to avoid the lines at the OBX and VNB.

Maybe it's because they want a person to physically see the required number of people in the car, instead of having a camera that might not detect 2 mannequins with the driver?

Why don't they make the booth only accessable from the HOV lane and then the cops can enforce both at the same time?
