Had to take part in this beautiful day. 70+ degrees and sunny- Prepped everything the night before to race to the shore- Yak just fits in truck - 6:20 home by : 6:30 ( Cops everywhere in ronk pulling people left and right on Portion --got through.) loaded up fast and on road @ 6:45- to water @ 7:04 - looks to be the best I can do. only 45 min of light. launched and paddled out 1st Cast -Fish on ! but what is it??....big Bunker about 12" - bumped through them and snagged him @ the boat. flopped around smelling up the yak..let him go - looking for Bass below.. Nada - no one home yet. well it was nice to have the rod bend again - exciting. Packed up and headed home @ 8:30pm fantastic Sunset. Picts say it all - nice mild night. -Calm , quiet night - like glass. -weeds all over. -nice to be on the water again. Any day now. I hope someone played hooky and enjoyed this unbelievable day. I know I saw one guy backing his 13 Whaler in his driveway nets and all. next time.
