Has anyone experienced repeated problems with piston ring failures 0n that engine size and model? The ring pin comes out, then the ring gap rotates to a porting position, catches on the port edge, and the damage starts from there. All pistons have been changed to the Wiseco brand, and they have advised that the pistons have been retooled from the OEM model. The pistons have not shown any heat related symptons. Any thoughts/ experiences in this specific problem. We have been told that the solution is spelled "Yamaha".
