hi, im stuck inbetween a rock and a hard place, i have a 1973 20 foot seacraft cuddy cabin. it has been sitting for about 3 years now since we bought our new boat. i was thinking how hard it would be to make a cuddy cabin boat into a center console, or find it a good home. it has an i/o now and i was thinking putting a outboard on a braket. has any one every tried this? all or any input would apprecated.

Its not worth coverting a cuddy Sea Craft (Sceptre) into a center console. If you want a center console Sea Craft there are plenty out there to be had.

To answer your question; YES, I know plenty of people who converted their 20's with brackets, although its a far more common place procedure with the 23.

The older Sea Crafts are very desirable boats.

I think these websites you shall find VERY informative.

Classic SeaCraft

Moesly Sea Craft

Cheers,
AVK

Don't cut her up, visit classicseacraft.com and you'll find alot of answers.

BTW that 73 20 is probably a Seafari not a Scepter.

yup it is a seafari. the thing is that the boat doesent realy have enouff space to fish with 2 friends. maybe with a braket mounted outboard their will be more space but i would love to have this hull in a centerconsole. its the perfect hull, and i would love to use her again but i have a 25 steiger witch you can fish 4 guys, and in the summer we like to go sking
