Hit 17 today for the last blackfish trip of the season. Fishing was very good for us and we had an easy 3 man limit to about 8 lbs. We also released at least 15 more keepers and numerous shorts. We resisted the urge to move around today and stayed put on one spot the entire day and had nice shots of fish all day long. I find this key when fishing 17 because it seems rarely do the fish chew all day long out there. Small whole white crabs were deadly as usual. Have to hand it to my son Dylan for sticking it out today in some rough conditions. He was feeling under the weather this morning before heading out but did not want to miss the last day of tog so he toughed it out and was rewarded with some very nice fish. We were very lucky this season and really had some great fishing close to home and would rate it an easy 8 out of 10. No really big fish this year but a lot of nice 7- 9 LB fish to keep things interesting. The weather on the other hand I would rate as a 2 out of 10 for sure. It seems almost every trip except 2 it was blowing 20 plus knots with big seas and today was no different. 10 more months until tog season again ?. Happy Holidays to all. <like href="http://www.noreast.com/postedreports/view.cfm?id=178090" send="false" show_faces="false" width='layout="button_count"'></like> Tog nice sunset |
