Assuming that you have JB 130 Hollow, your reel can hold a little over 1200yds of spectra. For every 100yds you reduce from that you can add about 18yds of 150 mono. The end result is you can probably fit 125yds of 150 Mono with your exsisting 600yd main line. A good bet would be Momoi Hi-Catch, Berkely Big Game or Jinkai. All are very good lines that will test over thier respective rating with Jinkai being the exception. You can buy a 150yd Momoi 150lb Top Shot made by BHP for about 26.00 or you could buy a Jinkai 150/150yd for 36.50. Since the Jinkai is smaller in diameter you could probably stuff the whole 150yds on there. Most likely you will be chunk fishing in the NE so I would give Jinkai the nod, just because it is a little more stealthy. It was what we used to use before fluro. Be aware that Jinkai does not test out much higher than it's stated rating, but hey we are talking 150lb you can't break it anyways. John at Trophy Tackle stocks BHP topshots and will be happy to put a splice in your mainline so you can go loop to loop.
Hope this helps you

Joe,

If you go with Jinkai go 150#; aside from that though I'd stick with 130# with Momoi and other thick brands.

The difference is, as stated, the diameter - 150# Jinkai is thinner than many brands 130#.

If you have 600 yards of 130lb Hollow core on your 70VS, you can probably get 150 yards of 150lb test mono on your reel. I have 850 yards of 130lb JB on my 70VS and have a 100 yard 100lb topshot.

I agree with Blake, call Basil @ BHP Tackle.
