The report from the morning half day was of a nice mix of fluke and some sea bass to please patrons aboard. More of the same this afternoon. Half day trips on the Lady Frances tomorrow at 8 am and on the Admiral at 1 pm.

Owner Christine Blount reported extraordinary bottle nose dolphin sightings today on the Whale Watch with a few Fin Back whales making some brief cameos. Still plenty of room on tomorrow’s trip leaving at 1pm. Call the office to make a reservation.

First mate Zach reported last night’s bass fishing displayed vast improvement over any trip last week. About a dozen keeper bass with sizes to 15 lbs and some throwbacks were caught by patrons. Early in the evening, Capt. Matt stopped and tried some jigging and while no Stripers were caught on the jigs, the fishers aboard picked away at some nice keeper sea bass. A bunch of short sea bass too keeping patrons busy. Plenty of room on tonight’s trip and Capt. Matt will set sail aboard the Lady Frances at 7 pm.

The big fish on the boat today, on the Gail Frances was a beautiful 11.7 lb slab weighed on the Capt. Tackle certified calibrated contest scale and the lucky fisher was longtime regular customer and excellent rod handler Tom Donaghy from New Rochelle NY. There were also fluke of 9 and 8 lbs on board and others over 5 lbs but overall it was a slower day of fishing due to little to no drift. Some sea bass and a few blue fish. We try again tomorrow with Capt. Rich setting sail at 7 am aboard the Gail Frances. The great pictures today are provided by first mate Danny.
