Took a one-day ride up and back with Freddy and Tony looking to get into the hot late season fluke bite and hot it was. We wound up with 23 very healthy keepers for the 3 of us up to 5.5 lbs. with at least as many shorts and a few cbass to round out the catch. We were loaded for bear with big fish baits but the drift was too slow to use them for the most part so we flipped and jigged pretty much all day. Great day and a lot of fun, even with the shorts which fought as hard as fish twice their weight. Maybe it's the time of year but those little guys had me call for the net a couple of times before I got a look at them and saw their size.

Thanks Chris. All of us here to the west are big fans of you guys. And it was great hearing Troy's a Dad. Never saw him smile so much. We'll try to get up there soon but we'll certainly want to see both of you and Capt Matt for our charter
