Wed 5/7.. Sunset shift on the sandbar..

Special day for me and need to make a point so I'm off my SIB (self imposed ban) on posting fishing reports today...

First the good news. Against all odds, wrong wind, wrong tide, crowded conditions and bright sunlight had some fish with stripes today and got my favorite beach buggy back from the shop and rode great on the sand.. ah yes driving the old buggy with korkers on, years of sand piled up on the carpets, an old friend rides again and I couldn't be happier..

Now the fishing report: Fished just after low tide, slacking and water starting to turn.. everyone including myself started catching Bluefish, they are getting smaller and smaller by the day.. I was using a diamond jig at first. Switched to a large crocodile spoon and that was the ticket.. I was the only one I seen catching fish with stripes on them. Nice FAT schoolies, and one that just passed the tip of the keeper mark... but then:

Also let me take this time to remind everyone of the 4x4 buggy up coming up next weekend... See the sticky in the surf thread for details... see you then, looking forward to it !

Ok back in hiding...
