Thursday 4/24:

inCOMING>>HIGH>>OUTGoing>low.. fished through the day, this very summer like day...very light N winds, flat calm seas.. felt every bit of the 80 degrees the beach buggy outdoor thermometer read.. even went for a swim.. brr but nice...

Started working in the morning fishing for that elusive flounder.. clams and worms.. no luck there until a nice sized pod of Adult Bunker showed up, changed over to Bass right away, live-lined one and snagged a few to chunk...

No taker on the live guy, let him go and took some of the Bunker out on the beach and set up a chunking pole and used the sandworms whole looking for Bass..

Wasn't long before I started hooking up on some decent sized Bluefish, the first Blues of the season for me..

Everyone was catching around me too, what a great summer like day.. No Bass or Flounders but some of those Blues pulled me around the beach, and saved two for the table, released another 6.. tried several lures, poppers, tins and bucks, but only caught on the bunker..

Still looking for a flounder..

until next time.

Bob,

Looks like you had a great day. I fished the back for a few blues but no bass. Blues have been between 3-9lbs some even larger. Last week had a couple of bluefish over 9lbs in western back bays areas, surprising for so early in the season. The new rig looks great !!!!! Hope to see you soon.

nice catch, The blues are hot right now, after a long winter and crapy flounder bite it's gonna take a while to get tired of catching blues, so I hope this keeps up.

good luck.

Kidding

Kidding of course. Bob, screw the flounder, doesnt seem to be worth it, not when you can fight those blues and with striped suited guys around.

Thanks for the report...

Nice job

WTG. Nice rig too. If it was mine I wouldn't come home till Thanksgiving. Love your map with the "
X". It isn't spot burning, but saying, "for a good time, come HERE." See you soon.
