I fished jones inlet with bucktails and sandworms yesterday 2pm-5pm. I did not have a bite but as I was fishing I saw a seal pop his head out of the water just 25 yards from the jetty! He had a flounder in his flippers and was trying to figure out how to stuff the whole thing in his mouth. There was one lady around talking on her cell phone and pretty much staring right out on the water without even noticing the seal. I yelled at her and showed her just to have someone to confirm my sighting but she appreciated it.

The seal's flounder was undersized. I reported it to the DEC.
