After a long weekend of yard work, I decided to hit my favorite Rocky Point beach for the first fishing try of the season around 6:30 PM. Set up a black Knuckle-head popper behind a blue plastic teaser and hit the water with the waders.

First cast of the season and I see the lure get smacked and Bam...fish on! A nice 16" schoolie Bass on the teaser. A few casts later and another nice schoolie...this time on the popper.

Next cast is a double header...one on the teaser and one on the popper. Finished up the night with total of 7 schoolies and 1 foul hooked bunker! Before leaving tried chunking with the bunker but no hits.

Had a great time, despite it raining for about 15 minutes...even saw a rainbow after the rain stopped.

What beach were you at? I used to go to Tides beach until I got a ticket for parking. Now I don't know where to go in Rocky Point to fish.
