Was at the mildam for a couple minutes today, and everyone was catching herring. Stayed for a couple minutes and put 10 in the bucket for my wreck trip tommorow. Always wanted to see if the seabass, cod, or pollock liked herring.

Isn't one of the top jigs for cod/pollock called "crippled herring"? Out in George's Bank cod feed on herring all winter.

Small strips will catch everything that lives on the wrecks. As others pointed out, be cautious of the dogs.
