Lifelong surfcaster!!! Two year boater!!! Laid the boat up around 12/01/06 cause of the weather? My surfcasting plans went out the window when the bride totaled her car (11/27)and had to use mine (4WD) til she found another "ride". That didn't happen until yesterday!

Well since Dec 1st I have been living "my fishing life" VICARIOUSLY through ALL of you guys that post on this site. I tracked the fish from Shinnecock to Long Beach while at home and also all day at work all the while telling myself "maybe tomorrow"!

Well....tomorrow came today and I went to the Captree Pier, cause the weather was so great,,, just to catch and release some Herring. Caught about 40+ in a hour (bite was not on) and in the middle of it ,I grab a 16" bass. I just had to laugh cause he was the last thing I expected to see, on the last night of the season.

For fear of leaving someone out, I simply want to say, THANKS TO ALL YOU GUYS who post here. Special thanks to the photographers too.............Reading most of the reports is almost like being there!

THANKS TO ALL AND HAVE A HAPPY HOLIDAY!!!!

fmg - having bumped around a bunch of other forums besides this one.. ive found the other forums to be childish in their 'omg dont post where there are fish' rules... since i can not get out to fish as often as id like i apreciate this website for the fact that i can read where the fish are biting and how everyone is doing... and use that to tailor my fishing outings...

in summary..this website > all other fishing websites

happy holidays from the black fox
