Didn't bother to walk the extra 1/2 mile to the jetty this morning. Waves fit for a surfing contest. Could cast a lure just over the first breaker but not the second. Wave heights probably around 6', wind north at 15 plus. Took my first dunking while surfcasting this morning, luckily did not do much more than a 3 point stance after backwash and whitewater forced the old body to do a split, lol. Luckily the water temp is / was still higher than the air temp. Met another Pequan- nice seeing you Joe and thanks for the tips !

Oh yeah- more of the important stuff: some birds, mainly gulls, diving and cruising just over the wavetops but outside of the second breaker, and out of my casting range. Fairly strong east to west sweep must have made baitfishing tough. No fish seen, no bait either. Tried bucktail, tins and shad bodies, with and without teasers. Maybe tomorrow...
