My buddie and I went out yesterday on The Sea Otter V 7am Tog trip. We almost didn't get out, not enough fares (which I can't believe this time of year). Capt Joel decided to let us go after we kicked in some extra funds, what a guy. NO one wants to go home after a long trip, so we sailed. The fishing gods shined on us today, it was a total frenzy catching large togs. Capt Vinny went over to a familiar wreck around mid-day and it was a slaughter from there. We all limited out with togs up to 10lbs, most kept were 5-6lbers. We were throwing back big ones to get bigger on the next drop. The bite is on, big time, it was the best tog day I ever experienced. This is becoming common on the Sea Otter V, seems every time I go, I have a good day, Capt Vinny and Sqiurt are super nice which makes for a great day. Anyone thinking of coming out to Motauk for togs, get on this boat, they run a first class operation. As soon as I find my USB cable for my camera, I get some pix up from the trip, photographic evidence of the day.
