Got out Sunday afternoon while the Jets were playing rugby. Fished the incoming tide which I'm still trying to figure out where and how. Overcast skies comfortable temps. Tried an olive and white clouser I tied, looked so good I had to get it wet. Then I went back to a yellow and white dec. Saw birds just sitting and waiting with no action and didn't see any bait around on top. Tried drifting flys through the ripple at the inlet and worked around the rock areas with no luck.

Wife calls up want to go for a ride. Stop back at the dock to pick up her and my daughter. After stepping on my rod trying to get my daughter in, we left and three more casts later (Snap). Just enforces the reason why I always bring two rods ready to go. Will find out how good loomis' warrantee is and if it covers stupidity. This week I'll make it a point to mount rod holders.

Great day anyway. Casting is really starting to take shape. Pretty funny how some things just click after a while.
