"Quiet" morning at Gilgo as the tide turned, 0600-1100, high tide around 0930. SW sweep strong early but started to lay down as the morning wore on, water still a bit dirty, 6oz holding for bait and wait game. Tins and poppers to no avail.

One noteworthy item, I called Moses office to report a possible injured seal meandering along the beach around 1000. Fast response as both Suffolk PD and Riverhead marine rescue were on the beach in less than 10 minutes after the call. Not sure, but it looked like they took the seal to see the good doctor. Hope the little guy is ok and hope not to see any more seals until January!

Last winter, Dec. 14, I caught a 35” striped bass from the beach five minutes after a seal popped out in front of me. Seals follow baitfish, stripers too.
