Hit the Inlet last night with my brother after work. We were looking for the "COW" Striper that has been eluding us all season...

First drift was to get the feel of the tide when all of a sudden my eel(Striper candy) started jumping all over the place but no take...

We set up for the next drift and sure enough, i felt a nice pick up and set the hook into the first 40+ inch Striper this season. The fish measured 41.5" and was a bit over 20/ lbs. A quick picture and we were back in the game.

We set up the next drift and WHAM!!! i set the hook and soon a fat 32" fish was flopping on the deck. A quick picture and the fish was released...

We went from spot to spot for about an hour before i found the last fish of the night. It was another 32" fattie that we quickly bled and added to the live well...

There were quite a few boats fishing the inlet last night...

The party boats stayed by the bridge and light house all tide long??

OUTGOING TIDES RULE!!!!

The inlet was the place to be then. I did bellies at the coast guard, bass assasins at the bridge and then eels more back-bay for nada!

I was on the Laura Lee last nite using bass assasions I got nothing but the boat had sixteen keepers up to 21lbs. They had a bucket of eels I wished we used them in the inletI guess they were saving them.

Feel a bump cross its eyes.

Are any of the party boats drifting bait nowadays. I know it sounds like they are doing fine with Assasins but this time of year I would want the slimeys on there. :)
