We had the first offshore trip on my new boat yesterday and fished the Virginia area with "makomagic" and "tunatoys". After 15 minutes we had a runoff on the close bait and after a short bluedog type of fight we landed a 125-140 mako. After that it was dead.Didn't see any tuna, bluefish.or bluesharks.Nice blue water.
