Went out to the inlet last night with my brother “Cobia Kid” trying to take advantage of the only “no rain” window of this week. The tide was outgoing and the wind was working with the tide making a fast drift…

After a couple of drifts we found the fish, they were right in the middle of the inlet between Demo and the “Thumb” right in front of the red buoy. We had fish on every other drift and boated four keepers and lost a few other’s we should have boated…

The final totals were : 35” and 14/lbs on the Boca grip scale

34” and 13/lbs on the Boca grip scale

36” and 16/lbs on the Boca grip scale

31” and 11/lbs on the Boca grip scale- last drift!!

We fished from 7:00 to 10.30 and left the fish biting. We started out as the only boat out there but as the night progressed, we had plenty of company. The fish were very aggressive last night and hopefully the rain will pass so we can get back out there and finally find that “SLOB” we all are looking for!!!

Tight Lines!!

What did you catch them on eels? Sounds like you had a good night. Fish on!

Sounds like you had much better luck than the Red Sox will ever have! I dare you to try some clams when the fish are biting to see if the eels work better on the same day at the same time while fish are biting. Reel fast!
