Fished the outgoing between the Canarsie pier & Paerdegat basin bridge. Water crystal clear and flat as a lake. Dead water until last two hours before slack, then it happened. The bass were doing back flips and tail slapping bait 30 to 40 feet from shore. Did not see any large bait around today, what I did see was in the form of bay anchovies and spearing. The fish fed for about 20 minutes then moved out with the tide. Threw a one ounce chrome/blue rattle trap and landed two fat healthy bass, one 28" the other 29".
