Chunked Stepping Stones between lighthouse and City Island last Friday from 1pm 'til 4pm. Weather was great, but fishing was better. My buddy, Mattie, and I wrestled 5 stripers, biggest 25,26 & 31 lbs.

I'm gonna end the season on that note!

Were you the guys in the blue skiff? If so, I was in the Grady 200 yards to the south. Just curious.

Hey L/T- We were in 50 ft of water. 3-4 oz lead was all we needed. We were using 15lb mono.

As you saw, I was there when you left and stayed until around 7. Fished 35',45' and 55'. Was only getting quick hits and drops. Landed one small blue but didn't hook into anything else. Surprised; looked like perfect conditions. Use a fish-finder rig but wonder if it was my wired hooks. Hope to get in one or two more chunking trips this weekend, if bait available. Otherwise, its eels. Good luck.

Hi Mickie- The guys in the center console behind us caught a ton of Blues and 10 stripers chunking that day. I wish we got there earlier in the day. We only fished for a few hours. I'm hanging up the glove for the winter.. Good Luck to you.
