Tons & tons of juvanille snappers, back corner at high water, nothing under them.(I don't understand, huge school of bait & no bass??????)Well off to the last rock off the front to get pounded by some waves,(felt like I was in MT.)NO FISH.On the first of the out,As the snappers got sucked out, still no fish under them.

Well for ideal fishing conditions & about 10 other caster's.No fish.

I hope all this bait sticks around,it might make things interesting, here in a couple of weeks.

JPF, with almost a full week of ENE winds I was hoping to read reports of bait along the beach and Bass, Blues, and Weaks hammering them. It seems this is not the case, where the heck have all the Bass gone? Do they move into the bays during the dog days and hang out in the creeks and back bay areas or do they head out into the ocean and follow schools of bait up and down the coast? I've heard of some nice fish being picked in Moriches but for every one you read about there must be several dozen anglers that go fishless. Hope the cooler water brings them back into the Inlet area!
