We fished the Federick P. Wreck yesterday hoping for Mr.Mako or a thresher to show up.Nothing,we had nice clean water, the temp was 66.6. Just a few big bluefish in our slick. We did see a pod of tuna pushing bait about 8 miles short of the wreck.Need a new boat, that 3 ft. chop put a hurting on us,guess were getting older.

I used to fish for tuna off off Montauk in large sportsfishing boats (Bertram, etc.). Was always a little amazed at the amount of 23-27 foot Makos and Grady Whites out there. (Butterfish Hole, etc.) I wanted one of those because they are within price range, etc. Until I starting going out on a 25 ft. Robalo. With all of the tossing around I found out that I was spoiled rotten during those years.
