Fished the marshes again this morning for two and a half hours. It was the last few of the outgoing tide.Managed four bass,24",27"29" and a nice 35".All fish were released and all were caught on bellies.Besides some eel graas the water is getting much cleaner again, the brown is gone.

ps. I am very disappointed in the call made by the Hudson Anglers tournament committee.

With small craft warnings and better conditions predicted for sunday,I would think that sunday would be the better day to run this event. Two other tournaments were postponed until today. What was on their minds when they made this decision? What was behind all this that we don't know about?I'm glad we waited to see the conditions before we signed up friday night. At least we didn't lose any money, but its really not about money.Don't think hudson anglers will see us next year, now that we know how they run things.

Paulie- Nice bass catch today!!!Regarding the Hudson Angler's tournament, somone posted in a thread on the Offshore forum that a 25' Wellcraft was missing as of 9 p.m. last night. Do you know if they're ok? I definatley agree with you about their decision not to postpone it. No fish, or amount of money, is worth a life. Tight Lines, and be safe!

I read in a different section of this site that the coast guard confirmed the mayday call and the missing craft. The report also gives the boat owners name and full description of the 25 wellcraft. God Bless them. JIM

Congratulations on your catch. I used to fish near sqaw for flounders but never for stripers. Are you fishing shallow or deeper waters? Are you fishing near creeks openings? Thanks
