Had my son and daughter out this morning at the crack of dawn.We did the belly thing in one of my regular spots near squaw island. My daughter started it off with a small cocktail, minutes later I had a 27" schoolie. My son put the first keeper in the box,31".It was just about slack and I told the kids thats about it for the tide and all of a sudden my rod went down real hard.I nailed a 39 1/2" ,28.25 lb fat bass.My biggest on bellies.Tide turned and the wind started howling out of nowhere so we called it a day.Kept the two bass and released the schoolie and cocktail. All fish taken on the last few hours of the outgoing with clam bellies.Kids had a great time.
