I think I saw you over in Bulkhead drain on the outgoing. I fished black banks for about a half hour with nothing. Then went to the bridges to fish in the shadows. Did a lot better. Sometimes they don't like the bright light. Other times it doesn't seem to bother them.

How much moving around did you do? I have been having fairly good results chumming the bass with bellies but do a great deal of moving from spot to spot. If you do not get a hit within a half hour of chumming, I believe you are better off moving. I think that the bass are not being attracted to your baits by the chum from any distance, but rather that the chum seems to turn on the fish that are there. It is hard to catch fish that are not where you are fishing, in fact, impossible.

Paulie, I went out on Saturday morning, and again Tuesday night, tried a couple of my favorite spots on incomming tide and got just a couple of hits, no fish. (I have done very well this year, and other years in those spots) I was chumming hard as well. The guys from Causeway B&T swear that the full/new moon effect the fishing around us and that it takes three or four days after the moon to turn around. Maybe thats the reason. I will be out again on Saturday AM, we'll see.
