This has been a very disappointing season with all species. Except the porgies of course which are being targeted by every boat around. And that can’t be good either

Keep trying

This is my second season fishing Moriches via kayak. Last year i only netted three keepers all season. This season I already have at least 20 fish over 21” so, most 22” to 24”. I use a bucktail tipped with Gulp and a teaser (glass minnow tipped wit Gulp). Beginning of season they all hit the Bucktail. Now they’re all hitting the teaser. I guess my advice is stay away from the boat traffic and fished out areas. There seem to be A LOT more boats targeting Fluke this year than last year, at least that what it seems like to me. I always fish incoming. This week most fish were hitting right at the beginning of the incoming, at least where I was fishing. Interesting tonight I found four baby winter flounder that one barfed up.

Go get em.
