Glowing reports of new bodies of fluke entering the South shore bays and inlets prompted myself and four others to take an evening fishing excursion out of Captree yesterday. Alas, once again we either missed the run or the fish had lockjaw in spite of fishing the top of incoming and a nice drift in the bay off the lighthouse and Kismet. On a very crowded boat about 3 keepers came up to about 5 lbs and a handful of shorts. Our party caught 2 short fluke, some robins and one keeper about 3 lbs. Other party boats drifting around us seemed to be doing not much of anything. Great evening on the water but either the reports are for a very narrow window of catching or some are reporting a fantasy.
