Hey everybody - it's been a long time since I've stopped in.

This unfortunately isn't a fishing report but with a heavy heart I wanted to let people know Iplayfair (Mark Fleury) passed away this week.

Mark was a hell of a nice guy, a father of 3 and husband of 25 years.

The man worked his tail off to provide for his family and to chase fish.

He was as devoted a fisherman as I've ever known and as nice and generous guy as well.

He passed after pulling an all nighter chasing bass of a heart attack I've been informed.

His wake will be on Sunday at Boyd Spencer funeral home in Babylon from 2-4:30 and again from 7-9:30.

A service and his burial will be on Monday.

RIP Mark and thanks for the teasers - they changed how I fish.

I owe an awful lot of bass to you.

RIP Mark

My condolences to Marks family and friends of which he had many.

Fishing in Heaven with the best.

The Fishermans Prayer

I pray that I may live to fish
Until my dying day.
And when it comes to my last cast,
I then most humbly pray:
When in the Lord's great landing net
And peacefully asleep
That in His mercy I be judged
Big enough to keep.

Very sad. Condolences to his family. Super nice guy. Was kind enough to help me out when I picked up the sport a few years ago. Hooked me up with some of his famous teasers to get me going. He will be missed

Met Mark through Mo and although I did not get to know him very well he seemed to be a great guy and avid fisherman. Rest in peace and my prayers are for Mark and his family.

Mark was the reason I bought my first kayak. I watched videos of him catching 20 and 30 pound bass in Jamaica Bay and I was hooked. Bought a kayak as soon as I could. Although I did not know Mark personally, I did bump into him on the bunker schools in JBay and he was the nicest guy out there. Always offering a helping hand.

My condolences to his family.
