Shark fishing on the 4th

Fished the Eureka/Broadcast areas with flat seas and crystal clear views of the Atlantic Highlands, lower Manhattan and Jones Beach Tower. But no drift and no fish, not even mackerel in the chum slick or birds. Some small pods of bunker and one large pod. On the way in, at 80', came across some 20 porpoises.

Two other boats in the area were also quiet per VHF chatter.

Beautiful day on a very dead sea, the worst ever.
