Decided to try my luck in search of blue fish action at nyc local beach this past Saturday June 4th. I caught one blue on bunker chunk. No blitz. I tried the jbay memorial weekend and only came up with sea robbins, so I did better this weekend. Fished incoming tide thru high and outgoing from about 5:30 am to 12:30 pm. I need a case of the the action, but looks like they're not in these waters. They came in early like the 1st week of may but did not stick around in the bay. Past two years, the come earlier and earlier, but don't stay. Maybe not enough bunker. Will keep trying! Maybe take drive to West Haven, CT. Tight lines!
