Fishing method Surf
« Previous Report Next Report »

Decided to try our luck on the CSS, So headed out there Saturday around sunset .me and my boy Nigel fished about 3 hours of incoming tide.Action heats up after dark. Despite heavy winds the surf was rather clam .We both had our share of schoolies with two keepers in the mixed. Majority of fish were caught on bottle plug and needlefish.

Thanks for the report!
These guys are pros up
So it is becoming stupendously clear that the large portion of bass are in the Central part of the island, sprinkled here and there in the west end, and moving westward for the most part, as they ultimately head south.
Montauk, as far as reports from almost everywhere, is dead.
Walked into a B&T the other day and was told the same thing.
Interesting.

Yes indeed. The storm we had a few weeks ago pushed the bass away from Montauk. Go out and fish hard because it will come to an end pretty soon.
