Nice fish seems like you had a great spring.
Hope Im not out of line here but it would have been great if you posted in the report section when you were catching all those fish since this is a report section not a month and a half later .By reporting it then it could have given hope to people that might not have been doing so well around that time.

Lurkers, chasers, and beggars want up to the minute reports. Personally, I would not have posted any picture with a visible landmark. Bassman and all his friends will be there to keep you company.

***UPDATE****

Fish are still out there, work hard for them and you will be successful. Not one fish came easy for me this spring. I spent a lot of time out there. And missed a few really hot bites. You can't catch them chasing reports. Doesn't work. Always an hour, a day, week late. Fish conditions and not spots. I work 5 days a week like every other schmuck out there and sometimes up to 12 or more hours a day. I fish once, maybe sometimes twice a week. Every once in a while I sneak in an extra day for a couple of hours. I haven't posted reports here because I have been working on "other fishing" projects. So I'll post when I get time. But I will no longer give up to the day reports, those days are over. For numerous reasons.

how come so many of those shots look so familiar???? How easy do you need them... you show up at my spot, got a lesson the first day and came back 3-4 deep covering up my rocks the next week straight.. And i thought you dont post no more???

Just playing.. nice fish.. you missed a few epic ones down there that would made you some contender in your lil tourney, but im sure your buddy told you all about the back to back fattys after you left..

See ya out there im sure

***UPDATE****
So you are saying you don't post because you didn't have any TIME "which isn't true we all have time no matter how many kids you have or how many hours you work to post takes minutes " or because when you posted in the past you spot burned like during the sand eel bite years ago? Even in a couple of pictures you just posted you posted a location like the one of you at green islandFinger. You didn't have to post the pic of you holding the fish . The pic of the fish on the pier would have been fine "other than the fact the fish looks smaller" that wood could have been any where. Its funny to me on how many people call others report chasers mean while they probably look at the report section daily at the people who do post .Its not that id be running out to chase a report because of a picture someone posts of a fish on sand ,rocks, grass or some wood since location isn't involved its the fact that there being caught that would get people excited to go out and fish "report chase".That's what I thought the report section is for Not just for Look at me and all the fish I caught. Am I wrong?

What does it matter how I choose to post a report or when, or where, or if at all. I dont get to this site often. I figured it would be nice for some of the guys I dont see or speak to that often to see what I was up too. And this is the exact reason I stopped posting in the first place... I chose to select the best photos from the season, there were two to three times as many by the way, and share them. Yes they were from April to June. Yes you may recognize some of the pics, but if you havent learned bass like bridges by now, quit fishing for them...Roll Me I dont like fishing them much... Limited success at best. Had much better success other places. But anyway Bassman, not sure whats with all the hate towards me. Sorry I added some nice pictures to a practically dead surf report section... Maybe if the negative BS comments would stop more people would post, but since the complaints range from not enough information to too much and everything in between I doubt it ever will. By the way I had fish last night too. And I know where there are some bigger fish now. I'm on vacation this week. Should be a good amount of fishing being done. Next report should come some time in November for my season wrap up.... Maybe...

grateful

Jaybass,

I am grateful for every post you have. I like seeing that others are much more successful than I am. I hope to learn from east post, whether it is yours, Iplayfair's or Shakaantoine's: every little bit I can learn about lure choice, retrieve rate, time of day and yes, even location hopefully gets me closer to catching a striper.

Keep up the good work and don't be discouraged. I (and likely many other lurkers on this site) appreciate all you and other do. And no, not all of us want to immediately go to where you were catching them yesterday, last week or whenever. I can only fish RM, Captree or Sunken Meadow because that is where my MIL lives so that is what I can drive. I only hope to learn more about the technique and bait/lure choices.

Thanks

Carpniels

Stripers are like carp, except edible !!
