Headed out for a quick scouting trip yesterday afternoon. I wanted to get my new Capt. Neil pole wet. Headed right to where I thought they'd be and dropped down. About 5 seconds later I was rewarded with a nice 22" flattie. Did another quick drift and nailed a 21" one. They were right where I though they'd be. Good to know. Made only a few more drifts then headed back to the dock.

Both fish spitting up sand eels.

It was great to catch on a brand new setup. Capt. Neil built me a sweet stick using a Rod Geek blank. No issue setting the hook or cranking them in. I like the stick a lot. I can't wait to see how a really big flattie deals with it. (he will lose!)

Great day to be out there.

nice pair

Captain Neil makes a fine fish catching tool. That's for sure!!! Use it well!

Nice job, you had twice as many keepers in 2 drifts than I had all day.
