Late report I have been fishing a lot for the last 2 weeks every day putting in hard time and that time has payed off. So now for the report. Conditions were perfect there was a mild wind tide was just starting to move in nicely. I took a cast and let my jig settle down when I felt something take my jig.. I set the hook into a fish. I immediately felt the weight and knew it wasn't a small one. She stayed still for a few seconds just shaking her head when the fish started to slowly swim up current, then she turned around and took off down current screaming line off the spool. My heart was racing and I was trying to just keep my cool. After over a minute in to the fight I was finally able to start turning the Handel on my reel. I took in a good amount of line when she took off again in to the current peeling drag like a school bus. When she finally slowed down I was able to turn her around and get some line back. She took off one more time trying to throw the hook taking my line around rocks. I was trying to keep the right amount of pressure on the fish. I was able to get her back in and she was done. After 5 minutes the fish came up and layed down nicely on the surface as I slid her right on in. I picked her up and she was a tank the fish was close to if not 30 pounds. I kissed her, snapped a pick, revived her and sent her on her way.
