arrived at the south shore beach at noon. walked into scene with four out of six rods bent. I though shucks, I should have arrived 30 minutes earlier as I imagined I suit up and its over. Well I suited up and it was non stop action, bluefish, gorilla blues, 10 -15 pounds. It lasted till one thirty. Six guiys doing cast and reel em in. Bunker on the bottom and I used a cordell popper on top. I love the top water action. Seas was calm, no birds, no visible action and it was a blast. You wouldn't know there were fish there unless you casted. Here is one of many. Sorry for the cell phone pic and the fish was sandy as I didn't want to take the time to wash him for the pic, just wanted to get him back in quickly

Nice job Eisey.....

(I remember ya from the Brookhaven meetings....I sat at that table next to ya way back when,.,,,how ya been?) Smile

I feel we in Jersey got cheated with Fall blues this year.....every year those 12# and up come into our back bays for a few weeks in the fall....this and last year it didn't happen.....

Would rather battle with those bigger blues, from land, than catch schoolie bass...but that's just me....this Spring we consistently had them to 20# in our back bays....
I think some of us were hoping for big blue fall action inshore, and so far it hasnt' happened for many of the NJ surf guys...
I'm waiting for the days/nights when we get some of that action...tackle busting monster blues from the surf.....pure adrenalin for me.....
Glad ya got some...
Best of luck this season...up
