Took a short, early a.m. trip to beat the heat and christen MickieBelle V. She ran like a dream. Been 2 years since I've worked the old bass haunts. Bunker in Manhasset were sparsely spread across the bottom. Tough to net, and I was also very rusty, but picked up a few. Swam a livie for a while with no hint of interest then chunked one of my old honey holes. She produced in short order. Landed a 20-25 lb'er for the table and headed in.
Thanks to the guys on the Boating forum for their input last year when I was boat hunting.
Been running a 25' Mako bought at the 1976 boat show. She is still solid as a rock and the E.Tech Evinrude I put on three seasons ago is the best outboard I ever owned. Good choice and best of luck. PS in 1976 the boat and motor including the full coast guard package cost $9,750.LOL

Thanks for the well wishes fellas; means a lot to have such good buddies and the good karma that goes with it. Free rides if you're ever in the New Rochelle area. See you on the water Pete.
Nice to know Corn and I'm not surprised. She's built like a tank and rides beautifully. Thanks!
