Backed out of the slip around 10am today, WOW, some blowout tide today, hardly any water in my canal on the way out, saw a few boats down the creek sitting in the mud!!! :-(

Out the inlet and worked my way east, marked HUGE bait schools all the way down past Ocean Beach but VERY little action on them. As in NOTHING!!

On the way back hit some schools right outside the inlet and plucked a few MICRO-Bass in the teens, as in INCHES!!! :-(

Saw birds working inside the inlet and figured the shad were up and about. As it turned out I was surprised to grab three herring!! Drifted those guys around on the flood on a couple of spots but nobody was interested.

Turned the baits back and headed home. I've just about had it, maybe one more run after the Holiday

Great report Capt. I was wondering what was going on out there. I'm still in H20 and am looking for one last shot, even if they are 'micro'. Thanks again.

Great effort, did about the same on past Sat.

We were thinking of trying for some Herring.

Great report to hear of herring, years ago they would be thick bye now.
Good water.

I hope to get out again with my team but we would be switching over to Tog for a last outing.

I have my fingers crossed it happen because I am not the Captain or the decition maker.

The boat is still H20 though and that is good too.

Hoping and Ready.
